Hints:
Select a sec-file from Your computer by clicking the "Browse..." button.

Dotted border will put a dark gray dotted line on the left and top side of the sector. This will show the sectorborders when multiple sectors are put together, just like on the dotmap version of the atlas.

The RGB color values goes from 0 to 255. 0 is the darkest. 255 is the brightest. Use Bright colors, when You select Your own RGB colors. That is, use values that add up to a sum of more than 300. You may define up to six al codes with different colors.

To generate the dotmap, click the "Generate" button after You have made Your selections. You will be redirected to the map You just generated.

To Save the dotmap, rightclick and select "Save Image As" and select to save the dotmap as a gif-file. (This is basically how to do it, but it may differ with different browsers.)

    Technical notes
    The program is written in perl using the GD module from boutell. The name of the dotmap is generated from the name of the file You used plus a random number. (If You are really unlucky, someone might overwrite Your map before You get a chance to save it.) All maps are saved in the dotmap directory. Users that use Explorer will get the local path of the file in the name of the file since MicroSoft (as usual) doesn't follow agreed standards. The dotmap directory will sometimes be cleared to save space.
